Foundation stone for the establishment of Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College was laid down in the year 1997 and the college is offering education with recognition from the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college was previously affiliated to the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University and it is presently offering education with affiliation from the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith at Varanasi, however B. Ed course offered by the institute is still under the affiliation of Purvanchal University.

Intake capacity of the institution:

Government of UP and the affiliating university has permitted Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College to admit 100 students per year for the B. Ed course and a total intake capacity of 400 students per year for Bachelor of Arts course and a total intake capacity of 140 students per year for the Master of Arts course with a capacity of 70 students per course.

Infrastructural facilities:

Shri Jamuna Ram Degree College has a full-fledged library with more than 4000 books on different subjects and the library has a spacious separate reading room with sufficient news papers and magazines for use to the students. The college is also provided with laboratory facilities for education technology, psychology and science subjects.
