Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology organizes PhD Entrance Exams for admitting eligible students for admission into various Doctor of Philosophy programs offered there. The selection will be based on the marks scored by the students in this entrance exam. The admission board will make sure that the students meet all eligibility criteria before making the final decision.

Structure of Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology PhD in Computer Engineering Entrance Exam

There will be a written test which will be of objective type model. The exam will be time bounded and multiple choices are given for each question. The candidate must choose the right option from among them. The questions will be from the subject. The aspirants who will be successful in this written test will have to do a power point presentation and also need to attend a face to face interview before the final selection. The weight age of marks will be 20: 30: 50.

Eligibility Criteria

A Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology in the concerned discipline is the minimum educational requirement needed to apply for this course. The students who hold a Master’s degree in Applied Sciences can also apply for this exam. They should score at least 70% marks in aggregate to apply for this exam. Those who have 60% aggregate marks can apply for this exam and they won’t be given any scholarship. The students who have passed any of the national level fellowship exams need not write the entrance exam to get admission into this program.

How to apply?

The completed details regarding application procedure will be made available in the institute’s website www.nsit.ac.in . The applicant need to take a DD of Rs.1000/- in favor of  Director, NSIT, New Delhi 110078, that is payable at Andhra Bank, NSIT Branch, Dwarka, New  Delhi – 110078. The application form and relevant documents should reach the Assistant Registrar before the due date. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

How to fill the Form?

The application form has to be filled very carefully without any mistakes as any small mistakes may lead to rejection of the application forms. So the student has to make sure that no mistakes are committed in the application form. The personal details as well as the necessary official information needed for applying for this exam must be entered carefully. The latest photographs must be pasted in the exact columns as specified in the brochure of the exam. The students should be careful while putting their signature as well. No necessary columns to be filled must be left blank. The form has to be addressed to correct place such that it reaches at the right time.
