State Health Society of the state of Bihar came into existence with the objective of guiding its functionaries in managing and receiving disbursements to implementing agencies like Directorate of NGOs and Public Health District Societies and also to account for the money received from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Indian Government.

The State Health Society of the state of Bihar is looking for Sister Tutors in Bihar on contractual basis for strengthening the nursing schools in the state. Some of the details regarding the notification issued by the society for the position are given below

Name of the position: Sister Tutor in Bihar

Number of Vacancies: 75, which is divided as follows:

• General – 29

• Extremely Backward Classes – 20

• Schedule Caste – 17

• Backward Class – 06

• Backward Class (women) – 03

Salary: Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs.20500 per month

Period of Contract: The period of contract is one year or until regular appointment of the candidates, whichever is earlier

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification and Experience: To apply for the position of Sister Tutor in Bihar, candidates should have completed their Master of Science in Nursing/Bachelor of Science in Nursing with one year experience of teaching in nursing or Diploma in Nursing  Education and Administration with one-and-half years of teaching experience in PHN.

Age: Maximum age limit of candidates is 65 years as on the 1st of July 2011
