Employees’ State Insurance Corporation was formed by the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948 under Government of India. The scheme was inaugurated on February 24, 1952 by then Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Dr. C. L. Katial was the first Director General of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. The scheme was simultaneoulsy launched in the state of Delhi. The corporation was started with the aim of providing health insuarnce scheme for factory workers. The coproration has emerged as a self financing social security scheme in recent times.

Job Profile:

Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the positions of Stenographer and Lower Division Clerk in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation. Candidates will have to serve the Regional Office of Employees’ State Insurance Corporation located at Chattisgrah.

Eligibility:

18 years as on 3 July 2011 is the minimum age limit set for the posts of Stenographer and Lower Division Clerk. However, the maximum age limit set for the posts is 27 years as on 3 July 2011. Interested candidates should have age more than 18 years and less than 27 years. Candidates, belonging to reserved categories, may get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules of Government of India. Candidates, who does not belong to any of reserved categories and have age more than the upper age limit set for the posts, are not required to apply in the corporation.

Educational Qualification:

Stenographer: 12th standard passed or equivalent from a recognozed board with a typing speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi. Candidates should also have working knowledge of computer including office suites and database.

Lower Division Clerk: 12th standard passed or equivalent from a recognized board with a typings speed of 30 or 25 words per minute in English or Hindi respectively. Working knowledge of computer including office suites and database is also desirable for the post.

Pay Scale:

Stenographer: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 225 is need to be submitted by candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. Rs. 25 is the amount of application fee that is need to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Ex-SM/Women candidates. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Regional Director, ESIC, Raipur payable at Raipur only.

The application fee should be accompanied by the demand draft of requisite application fee and other required enclosures in an envelope.
