The Punjab Pollution Control Board, shortly called as PPCB came into existence in the year 1975 through a notification issued by the Government of Punjab with the objective of preserving the wholesomeness of water. The Board has been given the mandate of implementation of environmental laws in the state.

Punjab Pollution Control Board invites applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Environmental Engineer.

Name of the position: Assistant Environmental Engineer

Number of Vacancies: 35, which is divided as follows:

• General – 17

• Ex-Servicemen – 05 (SC-2, General – 3)

• Schedule Caste – 07

• Backward Class – 03

• Sportsman – 02 (SC-1, General -1)

• Deaf/Partially Deaf - 01

Pay Scale: Candidates will be appointed under the pay brand of Rs.15600-39100 + GP of Rs.5400

Eligibility Requirement:

Educational Qualification and Experience: Candidates must be degree holders in environmental engineering/chemical engineering/civil engineering in first division from a recognized university/institution.

Mode of Selection:

Recruitment of candidates for the position of Assistant Environmental Engineer will be purely based on the merit secured by the candidates in the entrance test. Application Fee:

Application fee of Rs.500 is applicable for general category candidates and Rs.125 for SC/ST candidates. This fee should be deposited through Bank DD drawn in favor of Coordinator, Entrance Test for PPCB payable at Patiala.

Candidates will have to apply only through online from the website link www.thapar.edu by clicking on the link showing ‘recruitment of various posts for Punjab Pollution Control Board’. Once online application is submitted, candidates will receive registration number printed on an acknowledgement slip. Copy of online application form along with DD for the required amount and photograph pasted on the application with two additional photographs should be submitted in person on any days between 27th of June and 18th of July before 5.00 pm.
