Tata-Dhan Academy 2012 PDM
The Tata Dhan Academy aims to develop individuals with great proficiency in undertaking development action. They motivate the students to follow a path which would do good to them and the society. The Tata Dhan Academy also is acclaimed for bringing forth a number of skilled practitioners in the field of Development. The academy adapts to a knowledge system of Global level proportions and follows an action-reflection pattern for practice.
The Tata Dhan Academy (TDA) conducts a Development Management Admission Test for the Post Graduate degree (PDM) in it. The course is preferable to those candidates who are interested in going for a career in Non Governmental development sectors. But with the reputation of the Academy, it’s well known that the candidates would definitely be placed in reputed non government development companies pretty soon after the course and will have an absolutely secure future.
Structure and Syllabus for TDA DMAT
The TDA DMAT comes under the Objective type tests category. The questions will be based on the following topics:
- Proficiency in English
- Quantitative ability
- Analytical reasoning
The candidates’ performance in these 3 areas will be considered for selection.
The different areas of the exam paper mentioned above do not have a specific syllabus. Reading a lot of reference materials concerned with these areas will help prepare for the DMAT.
Eligibility Criteria
The first thing the candidates should be concerned with if they are interested in applying for the PDM programme is that they should not be older than 26 years as on the end of June on the year of the admission. Candidates are to own graduate/post graduate degrees in any discipline to satisfy conditions of eligibility for attending the DMAT. Candidates categorized to be reserved will have some relief with the modifications in the eligibility conditions made exclusively for them.
How to Apply?
The application forms can be bought from the different test centers and certain branches of the Axis bank. The candidates will be handed over with the form if they send letters requesting for it along with a Demand draft in favor of Tata Dhan Academy for an amount of Rs 300/-(including brochure & form charges, registration charges, postal delivery charges) payable at Madurai.
Another simple alternative is to download the form online in PDF format after sending a demand draft as prescribed above fulfilling all the above mentioned conditions by post. After filling up the form, mail it to the academy in this address – [email protected]
How to fill the Form?
All entries should be valid and should be done with great care and limited errors. After the fill up, go through the entire fields of entry in the form and take care of the mistakes if there are any. A recent self attested photo should be paste on the application form. Candidates do not forget to put the original signature on the necessary column. A submitted form should not be subjected to change, later. So only after carefully examining it, should the Candidate send it. And this should be done before the last date.

Study Plan
The study plans that the candidates devise is of vital importance for the preparation of the DMAT exam. The three sections of the exam paper require well prepared time schedules. Read a lot of the English proficiency reference materials to improve your standards in the language. They have to have a lot of self confidence for fluently communicating in English. Aptitude skill can only be raised to a better condition through practice and dedication.
The candidates must maintain their focus in what they do while training to get better aptitude skills. These skills will definitely be useful in the future as well. Doing mock tests also will help a lot. So gather model question papers for reference and practice. Only a skilled individual can thrive in the non governmental development firms. So a lot of hard work is required to earn the skills necessary and prove yourself in the examination. The DMAT will be of great competition and should not be underestimated. The results will be published at www.dhan.org/tdan and the selected candidates will be intimated individually.
Score Validity
The TDA DMAT scores will be valid for only a year.
