Uttarbanga Women’s B. Ed College was formed in the year 2007 and it is affiliated to University of Gour Banga. It is an important B. Ed college in the district of Malda and is managed by the Haji Mofijuddin Kobiraj Memorial Foundation. The college is exclusively meant for girl scholars of North Bengal who are interested in taking up teaching as their noble profession. The college is also approved by National Council for Teacher Education to conduct training to students to mould them as future teachers.

Course offered:

The college is offering Bachelor of Education in subjects like work education, bioscience, mathematics, geography, history, English and Bengali. The college conducts courses both in English and in Bengali Medium.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to the B. Ed course in Uttarbanga Womens’ College, the candidate should have secured a minimum of 45% of mark in the under-graduation/post-graduation level with two core subjects in the UG level. Every year, the college admits as much as 100 students.

The college includes several facilities like girls hostel with an accommodation capacity of 100 students, three laboratories, computer room, library and a multipurpose hall.
