Hitkarini Law College was established in the year 1933 on the 1st of June and it is an unit of Hitkarini Sabha. The college is affiliated to Rani Durgawati University and it recognized by the Bar Council of India and Bar Council of the state of Madhya Pradesh. Before coming under the jurisdiction of Rani Durgawati University, the college was under the jurisdiction of several other universities like Jabalpur University, Sagar University and Nagpur University.

Course Offered:

The college is offering bachelor of law and the course has been approved by Bar Council of India, the duration of the course is three years.

Eligibility criteria and Admission procedure:

The candidate must be a graduate in any faculty or they might also have done a bridge course of one year after completion of degree course. The candidate must also qualify in the pre-law examination conducted by Rani Durgawati University through its department of law. The candidates must also have obtained a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks in the graduation course to qualify for the entrance test. For students falling under the category of SC/ST and physically handicapped a mark relaxation of 5% is allowed.

Special features of the college:

The computer section of the college is continuously providing on-line Supreme Court case references. The college is conducting moot court, practical training to students by way of court visits, debate, discussions and half-yearly examinations for offering better exposure to the students.

Placements:

A placement cell is functioning under the college for helping the final year students to find good placement opportunities. The college has recently started this cell and is trying out industrial contracts to provide better opportunities to the students. The college has also taken pro-active steps essential for interactions with industries and renowned advocates.
