M.E.S. Arts & Commerce College was established in the year 1961 by the Mehkar Education Society and it is an NAAC ‘C++’ certified college. The courses offered by the college are affiliated to Sant Gadge Amravati University popularly called as Amravati University.

Courses Offered:

M.E.S. Arts & Commerce College is offering Bachelor of arts, which is a three-year course with two compulsory subjects being English and Marathi and the students can choose any three optional subjects among English literature, Marathi Literature, History, Political Science and Economics. The college is also offering three-year degree course in Bachelor of Commerce. Apart from the above-mentioned UG courses, the college is also offering PG courses in M. Com and M.A in history and economics. Above all, the college provides some courses like MBA, BBA, DBM and DFM in distance education mode by acting as study center for distance learning of Amravati University.

Placement cell:

The college has a placement cell particularly for the purpose of helping MBA students to find a suitable job. Even though, the cell was formed with some popular organizations at Abramabad, the candidates can find placement on the basis of their rank and skill level.

Special courses offered by the college:

The college is running remedial coaching/courses for students belonging to minority category like SC/ST/OBC. A competitive exam study centre is also functioning under the college to offer valuable guidance to the students belonging to rural areas in entering into UPSC, MPSC and similar competitive exams. The college is also conducting spoken English courses so as to offer special coaching to the students in spoken English in such a way that their confidence level is increased. All these special courses are conducted by the college during the afternoon session.
