Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University was formed by an Act of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature with a special policy of providing proper education in architecture and arts to the current requirements of the entertainment and human facility industry. The university is the first of its kind in the entire country and was formed with headquarters at Mahavir Marg, Hyderabad. In the year 2009, a cell called International Relations was formed by the university and it is located at the center of the city of Hyderabad. The main purpose of this cell is to help the foreign students in getting exact information about the courses offered by the university and related information. This task is done by maintaining contact with consulates of India and embassies of India in foreign countries. Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University administers good staff, students and infrastructure facilities. There are facilities like industrial consultancy cell, quality improvement program cell, entrepreneurship development cell, hostel, sports facilities, workshops, etc… In addition to these, the university is also offering sports activities like indoor sports, volleyball, gymnasium, study tours, college festivals thereby encouraging students to take part in co-curricular activities. The university is also offering hostel facilities for boys and hostel for girls is being developed by the university.
