The University of Gujarat offers the course of BPEd or Bachelor of Physical Education to the eligible candidates. There are more than ten papers in the course and each of the paper has two parts, namely the theory part and the practical. The names of few of the papers are:

•    Principles, History and Modern Trends in Physical Education
•    Educational and Sports Psychology (Paper-II)
•    Organisation, Administration and Supervision in Physical Education
•    Anatomy, Physiology & Health Education
•    Methods and Planning in Physical Education
•    Officiating & Coaching & Principles of Sports
•    Sports Science

The theory paper of each of the paper has a maximum of seventy marks and duration of three hours. The practical paper has a maximum of thirty marks. There are about nine questions in the theory paper and eight of them are available in pairs of twos. Candidates have to attempt at least one question from each of the pair. The last question is a compulsory question. This question has four short notes based sub-questions and candidates have to attempt any two. Each of the sub-questions carries seven marks and each of the main question in the pairs, have a maximum of fourteen marks.
