Sri Sai Ram Engineering College was founded by Sapthagiri Educational Trust, in 1995 and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institute has been approved by the AICTE, New Delhi and has recently won the accreditation from National Board of Accreditation. The college aims in imparting education and building up the personality of the students thus serving as a ‘centre for excellence’. The vision of this institute lies in transforming its students both in technology and discipline thus yielding good humankind for our society. Each year many students emerge successfully holding University ranks on merit.

Facilities
The college campus sprawls over 300 acres of land with lush atmosphere providing serene surrounding. The college library is fully air-conditioned having 36,000 volumes of books and journals and periodicals. It can be operated by Open Access System which is convenient for the students to search the desired book. Each department has well equipped lab with updated instruments. The college has a big hostel accommodating 580 boys and 275 girls in them with all desired amenities. The college operates 88 buses in and around the city and many other rural parts.
Placement
Apart from having a training and placement cell, this college has an Industry Institute Partnership cell which provides the students with exposure to the current industry practices and technology. This cell bridges the gap between the industries and the institutes’ thereby providing working knowledge to the students. There is a Center for Higher Studies which elaborately discusses about the higher studies abroad.
