IGIMS is an autonomous institute that follows the follows the pattern of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The institute also aims to train high order specialists in different branches of medical services so as to delivery of health and medical care of highest standard.
Job Profile:
Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) invites application from eligible candidates for the posts of Senior Residents and Junior Residents.
No. of posts: Senior Resident – 11, Junior Resident - 21
Pay Scale – Senior Resident - Rs.35025 during 1st year, Rs.35888 during 2nd and Rs. 36763 during 3rd year, Junior Resident - Fixed salary of Rs. 17490
Eligibility:
Age criteria – The upper age limit for Senior Resident is 35 yrs and that of Junior Resident is 30 yrs. (Relaxable as per rules)
Qualification – Senior Resident - The candidates must have a medical qualification included in MCI Act, with MD/MS in concerned specialty or allied medical or surgical specialty. Junior Resident - The candidates must have MBBS degree with 1 yr rotating internship. For both the posts, the candidates must have registered with State/Central Medical Council.
Selection Process:
The candidates are selected for the post through interview.
