Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has many medical colleges affiliated to it.
The current intakes of colleges are:
Bangalore Medical College (BMC): 120
Rajarajeshwari Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS): 100
Kempe Gowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS): 120
Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Institute (Vydehi): 150
Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raichur: 100.

The board of governors of Medical Council of India (MCI) has announced an increase in intake to 250 for five medical colleges in the state:
BMS, RIMS, KIMS, Vydehi and Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences.
