The first Medical College in Tamilnadu which separately deals with medical research and education is the TamilNadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The university offers some undergraduate courses and Bachelor of Science in Nursing is one among them which is taught by the institute. The English subject is included in the syllabus of 1st semester with other subjects to examine the students’ capability in English. New regulations are to be followed by the students admitted from 2006-07 and onwards.

Insight of paper:

The paper is taught to enhance the ability of students in English. It helps the students in learning how to write essays, letters and precise writing etc. Students are acquainted knowledge of some biological terms which they did not previously know. The students are given some sentences to make it correct grammatically. Then RC is given in the paper and the students are needed to answer some questions in a brief manner and all the questions are required to answer. There is a section named Vocabulary in the paper which increases the dictionary of a student.

Examination:

The paper is very much necessary for the students to improve their efficacy in English which is much needed. The students are made aware of different biological terms. In short it helps students to make possible for them to become a good nurse.

Syllabus:

The syllabus includes English language grammars, reading comprehension, technical communication etc. The technical part contains questions like essay writing, letter writing etc.

Paper pattern:

The paper is basically 75 marks based with time duration of 3 hrs. There are seven sections in total and a student is required to answer all the questions as no options are given. Marks allotted to each section are given by the side of each section.
