The Tamilnadu Dr M.G.R University was established in 1988 with the motive of bringing co-ordination and co-operation between various educational and training institutions of modern medicine as well as Indian system of medicines. This is the only university in Tamilnadu which is capable of granting affiliation to new medical and paramedical colleges. Medical Laboratory Technology is concerned with treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases through the use of clinical laboratory tests.  One of the prime subjects of this course in 1st year is Human Biology whose in depth knowledge is very much required.

Paper Pattern

The paper comprises of three sections.

  • Section 1 is broad answer section which comprises of two questions
  • Section 2 is short notes section. In this section 10 short notes
  • Section 3 consists of short answer type question comprising of 10 questions

All the questions in each section are compulsory to be answered.

Time allotted for the paper

The maximum time allotted for the paper is 3 hours.

Marks Division

Section 1 comprises of 30 marks with 15 marks allotted to each question. In section 2 5 marks is allotted to each question followed by section 3 in which 2 marks is allotted to each question.
