LIC Agent - How to become an LIC Agent?
LIC agents are professionals who work in the Life Insurance Corporation of India. They are actually intermediaries who create ties between LIC clients and LIC. Those who satisfy the eligibility requirements set up by the LIC can become LIC Agents. These professionals, in their daily affairs deal with clients, explaining them the different types of insurance policies, like medi-claims, recurring savings schemes and so on which are offered by LIC. They also convince the clients and make them take a policy. In addition, they have to collect the insurance policy amount from the clients and pay it to Life Insurance Corporation on a monthly or yearly basis.
Qualifying Exam
In order to become an LIC Agent, aspirants have to pass the LIC Agents’ pre-licensing test conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. However, aspirants may have to complete a training session so as to be qualified to attend the test. The Divisional/Agency Training Center of Life Insurance Corporation provides the training. It will be a 100 hours training, which covers various aspects of life insurance and the business. Those who effectively complete the training session can attend the qualifying test.
Who is eligible to apply?
The educational qualification required to become an LIC Agent is a pass in the 10+2 examination. Aspirants ought to have passed the pre-requisite test from a certified Board. In addition, they are supposed to be aged 18 years or above. The best thing about becoming an LIC Agent is that one can earn good income by working in this sector.

LIC Agent Training:
50 hours training covers all aspects of Life Insurance Business.
After successful completion of training you will have to sit for Pre-Licensing examination conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).
After successful completion of the examination you will awarded a License by the IRDA to work as an insurance agent.
You will be appointed as an agent by the Our Branch Office and you will be a part of the team under Development Officer.
Working Hours:
