The job of the LIC agent is to tell the costumer about the different policies. He has detailed information of these and then he is then given commission for it if the costumer chooses the policy.

The candidate has to give a written exam for getting selected.

Eligibility Criteria
Education qualification - Only those candidates are eligible who have passed the 10+2 exam
Age- the candidate must have completed an age of 18 years.

For the post of LIC agent an exam IRDA - Insurance Regulatory Development Authority is conducted , the candidate gets the license to work as LIC agent only after passing this exam.

You will have to contact the LIC officer of the nearest branch. Then you will be given a training to know about the plans, aim and policies of LIC then you will have to give this IRDA test
