G Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science (GNITS) was established in the year 1997. This is one of the popular technical institutes for women, and is the first women’s college in Andhra Pradesh. The institute is affiliated to the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education located at New Delhi and by the National Board of Accreditation.

The G Narayanamma Institute of Technology & Science offers the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the technical field:
The undergraduate courses available in the institute are B. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), B. Tech (Electrical & Electronics Engineering), B. Tech (Electronics and Communication Engineering), B. Tech (Information Technology), and B. Tech (Instrumentation & Control Engineering).
The postgraduate course available in the institute is M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering).
Eligibility criteria for getting admission:
The candidates, who have passed intermediate or Higher Secondary examination (in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects), are eligible to apply for the B. Tech course. They must get qualified in the EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) examination conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh in order to get admission for the B. Tech course in the institute.
The candidates, who have passed B.E / B. Tech Degree or its equivalent with at least 55 % marks, are eligible to apply for the M. Tech course. They must get qualified in the GATE exam in order to get admission for the M. Tech course. The admission for the sponsored category is made based on marks obtained in B.E / B. Tech Degree or based on the post qualification work experience.
Infrastructure:
The institute offers the facilities such as laboratories, library, hostel, games, computer lab, internet, and cafeteria. The classrooms of the institute are well furnished with the latest and modern teaching aids and equipments.
