Mahila Arts & Commerce College, Veraval came into existence in the year 1991 on the month of June and the university is offering education through its computer science and commerce departments. The institute holds the pride of being the first women’s institution for higher education established with the objective of offering quality higher education to the women belonging to rural areas.

Admission Process:

Admission of students to the different courses offered by the Mahila Arts & Commerce College is done according to the reservation policies of the state Government of Gujarat.

Library at Mahila Arts & Commerce College has a collection of nearly 30 journals and magazines and it has a wide collection of about 13000 books pertaining to different subjects.

Method of evaluation followed by the college:

According to the rules of the Saurashtra University to which the college is affiliated, the college follows 70% of external evaluation and 30% for internal evaluation for both Commerce and Arts courses. As far as internal evaluation is concerned written test is conducted for 10 marks, 10 marks is allocated to oral performance and 10 marks is allocated to assignment.

College Hostel:

Mahila Arts & Commerce College offers hostel facility to the students and the hostel includes 27 staying rooms, a common room, a reading room, a dining room, a recreation room and a room for the visitors as well.
