Hindustan Aeronautics Limited shortly called as HAL is a public sector undertaking with Navratna status. The company has 20 service/overhauling/production divisions and 10 co-located Research & Development centres in different parts of the country.

HAL has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Assistant Engineer from different fields of engineering like computer/civil/electronics/electrical/metallurgy/production and mechanical for filing up of vacancies in the Koraput division
Name of the Vacancy: Assistant Engineer
Number of Vacancies: 36
Assistant Engineer for computer branch is reserved for PH (hearing impaired) candidates.
Scale of Pay: Candidates appointed for the position of Assistant Engineer will come under the pay scale of Rs.12600-3%-32500.
Eligibility requirements:
Educational qualification:
To apply for the position of Assistant Engineer, candidates must be graduates any of the branches of engineering like computer, civil, electronics, electrical, metallurgy, production or mechanical engineering from a recognized university/institution securing not less than 60% of aggregate marks (50% of marks for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent CGPA rating. Only candidates fulfilling the educational qualification on the last date to apply need to apply. Candidates in their final year of their degree course need not apply.
Age Requirement: Upper age limit is 28 years for general category candidates, 31 years for OBC and 33 years for SC/ST candidates as on 1st of September 2011.
Selection Procedure:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for written test and instruction regarding written test will be sent to the shortlisted candidates through e-mail.
Cost of Application:
Candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs.400 (SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of this fee) in the form of DD drawn in favor of Hindustan Aeronautical Limited, Koraput Division payable at State Bank of India, Sunabeda – 2.
How to apply:
Eligible candidates will have to apply online through the website of HAL between the 05th of September and 24th of September up to 7.00 pm. Once application is made online, candidates will have to send the DD obtained between 05th of September and 24th of September writing their name and application reference number behind the DD along with the copy of registration slip obtained after submission of online application to the address given below by ordinary post before the 1st of October 2011:
