Data Entry Operators, Lower Division Clerk, Staff Selection Commission
Staff Selection Commission was initially named as Subordinate Services Commission. The major functions of the commission includes making recruitments in various ministeries under Government of India. The commission is consists of a Chairman as the head and two members. A Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations is also an important post in the commission. The Commission has its headquarter located at New Delhi. The commission actually conducts of examinations for the recruitment of people in various ministeries under the Government of India.
Job Profile:
Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct a Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination-2011 for making recruitment of eligible candidates on the positions of Data Entry Operatos and Lower Division Clerks. Candidates will be allowed to apply through online as well as offline mode.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the specified position is 18 years as on 1 August 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the specified position is 27 years as on 1 August 2011.
Candidates should not have been born earlier than 2 August 1984 and not later than 1 August 1993. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC category candidates will get relaxation of 3 years. PH candidates will get relaxation of 10 years.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates must have passed 12th standard or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Candidates should have acquired the prescribed minimum educational qualification or else their applications will not be considered by the commission.
No. of posts: Several posts are available in total.
Pay Scale:
Data Entry Operators: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
Lower Division Clerks: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.
Application Fee:
General and OBC categories candidates: Rs. 100 only.
No fee is required to be submitted by SC/ST/PH/Woemn/Ex-Serviceman candidates.
Application fee should be paid in the form of Central recruitment Fee Stamps only. The stamps are available at the counters of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Candidates can also submit this application fee by the means of payment challan or online payment method.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test on the basis of their performance in the Written examination. Only successfull candidates of the skill test will be considered suitable for the specified posts.
How to apply: Candidates should send the application in the prescribed format only. The application alongwith the other required enclosures should reach to the Regional or Sub office of the SSC depending on the choice of the exam centre by the candidates. Candidates can also apply online at SSC website from 20 August 2011 onwards.
