Advanced diploma is information technology from Indira Gandhi National Open University is a one year course and can maximum extend to two years. In the visual programming paper one deal with the concepts of programming like accessing databases and active and windows API and other concepts. The paper is coded as CSI- 15.

Paper pattern:

There are two papers a theoretical based and the other a practical paper. The practical paper is a paper having 30 marks and has a weight age of 25% and has two questions.10 marks are for viva voce in this paper. Both the questions has 10 marks each and are both compulsory.

For the theoretical paper we have two sections and the questions are divided as such. Section A has compulsory questions and one has multiple choice questions as well as short notes and fill in the blanks. Section A is compulsory and one has to attempt all the questions. Section B has an option of attempting three out of the four questions that are given. It is an essay based question section and there are sub parts of the questions for the ease of answering

Maximum marks and maximum time:

The total marks allotted for the theory paper is 75 marks, section .The maximum time allotted for one to finish this paper is 3 hours. The practical paper is of 1 hour duration in which one has to complete the two questions along with the viva session. It has 30 marks to it.
