NET or National Eligibility Test is conducted every year by UGC to test the students and determine their eligibility for lectureship and junior research fellowship. Examination of NET contains Spanish as language paper. In this paper, candidates are tested with their grip on this language.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

Minimum educational qualification for the paper is Master degree from any recognised University or institution with at least 55%.  Candidate who have appeared for final paper and waiting for their result are eligible for the examination. There is no age limit for lectureship but for JRF, it is 28 years. However there is relaxation of age limit and marks for SC/ST candidates as per UGC norms.

Scoring and Negative Marking:

Paper contains only objective type questions and each question carries same marks. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer, so candidates can attempt all the questions.

Mode of Exam:

Paper is taken conventionally and questions asked are to be answered in an OMR sheet by the students.

Format:

Paper contains questions of objective type which are equipped with 4 choices to choose the correct choice.

Paper Pattern:

Paper of Spanish consist 50 questions in it and these questions are equipped with 4 choices from which correct answer is to be chosen. These questions are of same marks. There is no negative marking in it.

Marking:

Total marks given to the paper are 100. Each question carries 2 marks in it and students can score full marks in it if they are good in this language.

Schedule:

Paper is given total time of 1 hour and 15 minutes.
