North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology is one among the well known technical institutes of the nation. The institute offers many degrees, diploma and certificate courses. Every year the college conducts entrance examinations known as NERIST Entrance Exam (NEE) for admitting students to each branches. The students need to clear this test in order to get admission in the institution. The examinations are divided into three categories, NEE 1 for certificate courses, NEE 2 for diploma courses and NEE 3 for degree courses. The eligibility will also vary depending on the type of course.

Basic Eligibility for NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Entrance Exam

Eligibility criteria differ with the type of test.

NEE 1: Aspirants who have completed their 10th with a minimum aggregate of 50% are eligible for the test. Relaxation will be provided for the reservation category as per the government rules

NEE 2: Students who have completed their higher secondary education in vocational stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% are eligible for the test.

NEE 3: All students with a diploma degree or equivalent with an aggregate of 50% marks are eligible for the test.

Qualifying Examinations for (NERIST North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Entrance Exam

NEE1: The students must have passed their 10th standard or equivalent. Students who are currently appearing for the exam can also apply.

NEE2: Students must pass the corresponding vocational stream under a recognized examination board in the nation. Students who have completed their higher secondary education with PCMB as a paper are eligible to apply for the technology and forestry courses.

NEE3: Students should pass a corresponding diploma degree from a recognized poly technique institute in the nation or any equivalent course.

Who can apply for NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Entrance Exam?

NEE 1: All Indian students who have passed their 10th or equivalent can apply for the test.

NEE 2: Indian students who have completed their vocational education or equivalent higher secondary course are eligible.

NEE 3: Indian citizens who have completed their diploma degree or any other corresponding course are eligible for the test.

Age Qualification for NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology) Entrance Exam

The age qualification differs based on the type of course.

NEE 1: Students below 19 years are eligible for this test.

NEE 2: Students below 23 years are eligible for this test.

NEE 3: Students below 40 years are eligible for this test.
