Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College came into existence in the year 1989 and the college was permanently affiliated to the University of Pune before it was converted as a constituent unit of the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in the year 1996. Eligibility requirements:
UG Courses: For UG Courses offered by the institution, candidates must have completed class 12 examination or any other equivalent examination with not less than 50% of marks in biology, chemistry, physics and minimum 50% of marks in Common Entrance Test. For BSLP alone candidates must have studied physics, chemistry and any one of the following subjects: psychology/electronics/statistics/computer science/mathematics or biology. For BASLP course, the college offers Lateral Entry facility to candidates, who have successfully completed diploma in hearing language speech from an institution recognized by RCI and should posses two year work experience in the field. Otherwise, candidates must have passed pre-revised DHLS course recognized by the RCI with two years of work experience and must have completed three months short-term course conducted by School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology of BVDU.
PG Courses: For admission to the PG degree and diploma courses offered by the BVDU, candidates must have completed their MBBS from an institution approved by the Medical Council of India and they should also have completed their compulsory internship before the 30th of April in the year in which he/she is seeking admission.
Other courses: For admission to the M. Sc courses, candidates must have completed their B. Sc in appropriate discipline, while for DMLT course, candidates must have completed B. Sc in zoology/botany/microbiology/biochemistry/chemistry as principal subjects.
