Adamas Institute of Teacher Education is a new entrant to the Roy’s Institute of Competitive Examination Private Limited group of colleges and the institute began its academic journey in the current academic year 2011-12. The institute is governed by a duly constituted governing body with respect to the guidelines of the regulatory authorities namely National Council of Teacher Education and West Bengal State University.

Approval and Affiliation:

The application submitted by the parent group for the establishment of Adamas Institute of Teacher Education was approved by the Eastern Indian Regional Council of National Council of Teacher Education. Since the institute is located in the Barasat region, it falls under the jurisdiction of the West Bengal State University located in Barasat.

Academic Programme details:

The only course presently offered by the institute is the Bachelor of Education course and for this course, the institute is approved with an intake capacity of 100 students. The institute is planning to increase its admission capacity in the near future and it is also planning to introduce Master of Education course. For the B. Ed course offered, the college follows the syllabi of West Bengal State University and admission to this course is strictly based on merit with respect to the guidelines of the regulatory authorities.

Adamas Institute of Teacher Education is located within the campus of Adamas Knowledge city and therefore, the institute enjoys unique central facilities like open air auditorium, seminar halls, meditation centre, food court, etc…in addition to its own facilities of parking space, multipurpose playfield and spacious building.

Campus of Adamas Institute of Teacher Education:

The campus of Adamas Institute of Teacher Education is spread over an area of 2 acres and the built up area of the institute is 40000 square feet. The institute is planning to introduce a specious and well-designed library with adequate number of journals, books and other facilities. In addition to library, there will also be science & mathematics resource centre, health & physical education resource centre, art & craft resource centre, psychology resource centre, ICT Resource Centre and multipurpose hall.
