Job Profile:

Steel Authority of India Limited is making recruitment of eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant positions of Junior Assistant (Trainee) and Translator (Hindi/English). Candidates are required to meet with all the eligibility conditions set for the post. The posts are available in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhilai, Bokaro, Faridabad, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Haldia, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Vizag, Rourkela, Vijaywada, trichy and Paradip.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for both the posts is 18 years as on 1 September 2011.
The maximum age limit set for both the posts is 28 years as on 1 September 2011.

Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes categories candidates. OBC category candidates will get relaxation of minimum 3 years in the upper age limit. Retired Military person and Physically challenged candidates will also get relaxation of few years in age as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification: a

Junior Assistant (Trainee): Full time Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized institute or university. Candidates should have secured minimum 55% marks in aggregate at their graduation degree level. Besides this, candidates should also have passed Diploma in Computer Application of minimum 1 year duration. Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute in English is also required.

Translator (Hindi/English): Master’s degree in Hindi or English with minimum 60% marks in aggregate at degree level. Besides this, candidates should also possess minimum one year Diploma course from a recognized institute or Government of India.

Junior Assistant (Trainee): Only 32 posts are available.
Translator (Hindi/English): Only 3 posts are available.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 9160-13150 per month.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 270 (only General and OBC candidates). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories, must submit the application fee of Rs. 70 only. The application fee must be paid in cash in branches of State Bank of India. Candidates are required to use the payment challan form for submitting the application fee. Payment challan can be easily downloaded from the official website of the company.
