Heeralal Yadav Balika Degree College came into existence in the year 2001 and the college opened the doors for higher education for women belonging to rural areas. The college has earned recognition from the University Grants Commission under section 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. The college offers courses in association with the University of Luckow located at the city of Lucknow.

Admissions:

As far as the Bachelor of Education course is concerned, Heeralal Yadav Balika Degree College is approved with an intake capacity of 100 students and admission of students to this course is done based on the merit secured by candidates in the Combined Pre B. Ed Admission Test called as CPBAT of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

As far as Bachelor of Arts course is concerned, admission process in the college begins from the first week of June every year and candidates can get the application form from the office of the college from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm on all working days by paying Rs.100 in cash. Admission to the Bachelor of Arts course are offered on the basis of merit secured by candidates in the intermediate or equivalent examination and the college offers counseling facility for enabling the students to choose the correct subject suitable for them.

Distance Education courses:

Apart from offering the aforesaid courses with affiliation from the University of Lucknow under regular stream of education, Heeralal Yadav Balika Degree College also acts as a study centre for the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University thereby offering several courses.
