Earlier, Aliah University was known by the name Calcutta Madrasah.  It was established in 1780. Later Calcutta Madrasah was upgraded by the Government of West Bengal to Aliah University. The university has begun its academic programmes in 2008. It offers the courses like B.Tech, M.A, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, etc. The slogan of the university is “Advancement of Education and Culture.” Aliah University aims to develop the cultural inheritance of the Madrasah system.

Structure of AUAT for Integrated M.Sc/MCA Courses

The Aliah University admission test includes two papers. The duration of Paper-I will be 1 hour and that of Paper-II will be 3 hours. Both the papers consist of objective type questions with multiple choices. The questions will be in Bengali and English. The candidates have to answer the questions in Optical Response Sheet (ORS). They must use black ball pen.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants for integrated M.Sc/MCA Courses must have completed or should be appearing in the 12th examination. The candidates are required to score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. Besides that, they must also have scored an aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. The upper age limit for the admission test is 22 years.

How to Apply?

The candidates can procure the application form and information brochure for AUAT from the concerned branches of SBI or from the AUAT office. The candidates should pay a fee of Rs. 400/- in cash. The duly filled application form must be sent by registered post or speed post to “The Chairman, AUAT-2012, Aliah University, DN- 47, Sector-V, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700091”.

How to fill the Form?

• Read the information booklet thoroughly
• Fill the form without making any errors
• Do not leave any important space unanswered
• Enter the date of birth as in the original certificate
• Paste a colour photograph of the applicant in the space provided
• Write the name and address in the acknowledgement card
• Paste a postage stamp worth Rs. 6/- on the card
• Keep a photocopy of the duly completed application form

Study Plan

First of all, divide the entire syllabus into small topics and make a time table accordingly. The study plan should cover all the topics studied in the 12th standard. The candidates should refer all the important points while studying. This will help them to have a quick revision at the end. The candidates should practice with the help of sample question papers. The candidates must refer standard books only. They must complete the studies before the final week. The final week should be used for revision.

How and Where To Get the Results?

The result of Aliah University admission test will be notified on either the official website or on the notice board of the university.

Score Validity

The Aliah University admission test score is valid only for 12 months.
