University of Kashmir offers degree of graduation and masters in different fields. Physical and material science is one of the most chosen subjects in the university. Students who are graduates can apply for the course.

Qualification for appearing in this exam:

Students must be a graduate in the field with minimum of 50% marks in their graduation. There is reservation of seats according to the University rules and students who are residents of Jammu & Kashmir will get preference.

Scoring and Negative Marking:

Paper contains questions which are of objective type and students get a deduction of 1/3rd of the total marks that the question carries, if they answer it wrongly.

Mode of Exam:

This Paper is a paper based examination and it is taken on an answer sheet provided by the University. Questions that are generally asked in the paper are objective type.

Format:

Paper has multiple choice questions in it, and students have to pick up the correct choice within the given span of time.

Paper Pattern:

Paper of Mathematics is an optional subject and it consists of only objective type of questions in the paper. One will have to suffer negative marking if any answer marked is wrong. You will be provided with a separate answer sheet, which is generally an OMR sheet, where you have to record all your answers.

Marking:

Paper has questions which are of equal marks and each question is of objective type. There are total of 60 questions in the paper. For each correct answer, 3 marks are given and for wrong answers, there is deduction of 1 mark per wrong answer.

Schedule:

Paper is needed to be finished in 2 hours only.
