Information regarding University of Delhi B.Ed Entrance Exam
University of Delhi organizes B.Ed Entrance Exam annually for admission to various B.Ed colleges under Delhi University. The details of this exam including exam pattern, syllabus, application procedure, and qualification details are outlined in the article.
Structure of University of Delhi B.Ed Entrance Exam
This exam has got two sections. The first section will be an objective type exam and there will be 3 papers. Bilingual Language Comprehension and Mathematical Thinking & Reasoning papers will carry 30 marks each and maximum time allowed for these papers will be 40 minutes. Subject Knowledge paper will carry 40 marks and time duration for this paper will be 50 minutes.
The second section will be of descriptive type and the maximum time duration for this paper will be 20 minutes. This section has two parts which are compulsory and carry 10 marks each. The candidates need to score 65% marks to qualify in this exam. Those who qualify in the test have to attend an interview which is the final screening process before admission.
Syllabus of University of Delhi B.Ed Entrance Exam
Part A (1 mark each)
- General English Comprehension or General Hindi Comprehension- 10 questions
- Teaching Learning & the school- 25 questions
- Logical and analytical reasoning- 20 questions
- Education and General awareness- 25 questions
Part B (20 marks)
Aspirants have to choose any of the following subjects depending on their specialization.
- Science
- English
- Hindi
- Mathematics
- Social Studies
Interview
Interview is carried out to check the following skills of the candidate:
- Subject knowledge
- Oral communication ability
- General awareness
- Reading interests
- Understanding of children
- Social issues
- Potential for critical thinking
Qualification details of University of Delhi B.Ed Entrance Exam
- Aspirants who have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in graduation in 10+2+3 or else 11+2+2 pattern can apply for this exam.
- Those who have a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in graduation in 10+2+2 or else 11+3 pattern can also apply for this exam.
Application Procedure
Students can obtain the application form from Central Institute of Education or else from branches of State Bank of India. One can obtain the same via post by sending a DD of Rs 425/- in favor of the registrar of Delhi University. They should send a request along with the DD by specifying the course name. After filling the form one should send the same along with mentioned documents directly to
