Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) was established by the Central Government under the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948. The major objective behind the establishement of the corporation was to protect the interest of workers in problems like Sickeness, Maternity etc that results in the loss of wages or earning capacity of the workers. The major function performed by ESIC is to administer the scheme. The prescribed scheme was actually implemented in the year 1952 at Kanpur and Delhi.

Job Profile:

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates on the vacant positions of Senior Residents under the residency scheme for a period of three years which is subject to renewal or extension every year depending on the requirement of the corporation and performance of candidates. The posts of Senior Resident are available in the dpeartments of Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Paediatric, Orthopaedic, Radiology and Obst. & Gynae.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit. Candidates having age more than the prescribed maximum age limit will not be considered eligible for applying for posts of Senior Residents in Employees State Insurance Model Hospital. The maximum age limit set for the posts of Senior Residents is 35 years as on 31 March 2012. However, the relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years while OBC candidates will get relaxation of only 3 years.

Educational Qualification:

The minimum educational qualification required for the posts of Senior Residents in Employees State Insurance Hospital is Post Graduate degree or Diploma in concerned disciplines or speciality from a recognized institute or university. Candidates without Post Graduate qualification can also apply only if they possess minimum two years experience after completing MBBS degree. Atleast one year experience should be in the concerned speciality in any Government hospital.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary as per the recommendations of the Sixth CPC as adopted in ESI Corporation or Hospitals.

Selection Process:

Only eligible candidates will be called to appear in the Walk-In-Interview test with the Selection Committee that will be held a specified date. Only successfull candidates of this Walk-In-interview will be considered for the selection on specified position.
