Exam Pattern and Syllabus for MAHAGENCO ‘Junior Engineer’ Recruitment Test

Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited carries out recruitment of candidates to ‘Junior Engineer’ on the basis of a written test. The test covers subject based questions as well as general aptitude questions. There will be 5 sections for subject paper in which candidate should select one. Subject paper includes questions from streams of Electronics, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.

Exam Pattern of MAHAGENCO ‘Junior Engineer’ Recruitment Test

There will be two sections for the written test. Section I includes questions to measure the professional knowledge of the candidate. In section II, one can expect questions to assess General Aptitude. There will be 60 questions from first section carrying 100 marks, Section II comprises of 90 questions for 90 marks. Total time allotted for answering the test is 2 hours.

Candidates should be thorough with both subject related topics as well as general aptitude to clear the exam. Exam preparation can be done with the help of reference books like R.S Agarwal Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, etc. Books from publishers like Upkar, S.Chand, etc will also be useful. Practicing model questions and previous year’s questions paper will help the candidate to have an idea on the type of questions asked in the test. This will help one to make better preparations.
