Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) was initially established as the Madras Service Commission. Madras Service Commission was established under an Act of the Madras Legislature in the year 1929 and it was the first Service Commission of the country. Madras Public Service Commission was set up and became public in the year 1957. The headquarters of the commission is located at Madras. The major objective of the commission is to make recruitment on important government positions through the conduct of written as well as personal interview tests.

Age Limit:
Candidates should not be more than 30 years of age.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the salary of Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4700.
Selection Process:
Candidates will have to face a written test that will be held on 24 October 2010 followed by a personal interview test for their selection in TNPSC.
