Goa Shipyard Limited under the Ministry of Defense often recruits candidates to the position of ‘Management Trainee’. Recruitments are done in streams of Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical or HRM. Engineering graduates are considered for the position of Management Trainee (Engineering). This qualification must be obtained from any recognized institution with minimum 60% marks. Candidates must have completed their B.Tech/M.Tech degree in any of the following streams.

• Electrical Engineering
• Electronics Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

MBA holders in Human Resource Management or Industrial Relations or Personal Management can apply for the position of Management Trainee in HRM. Those having Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above mentioned streams are also eligible. These qualifications must be obtained from any reputed education institution with first class marks. Age of the candidate must be less than 28 years. Candidates belonging to reserved category can expect relaxation in age. OBC candidates can have 3 year age relaxation where as SC/ST candidates can enjoy age relaxation up to 5 years.

Recruitment of eligible candidates is done on the basis of a written test. Candidates eligible for attending the written exam will be short listed according to their marks in UG or PG exam. Those who clear the written exam will be selected after verification of certificates and other necessary documents. Selected candidates must undergo training for a period of one year and it is considered as a probationary period. During the period, candidates are offered stipend up to Rs. 40500/-per month. After successful completion of training they will be appointed as Assistant Manager with higher salary packages.

Application forms can be collected from the official portal of the organization. This application form must be filled correctly and must be submitted to the Chief General Manager of Goa Shipyard Limited. Attested copies of mark sheets, a recent passport size photograph, experience certificate, (if any) etc must be sent along with the application form. Candidates working in government or autonomous organizations must apply through proper channel or they must produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview.
