Admission Procedure for UG courses in St Xavier College Mumbai

For courses other than BMM/BMS

The admission procedure for under graduate programmes is based on the percentage of marks/grades scored by each candidate in qualifying examinations. The percentages of grades are calculated as per the scales of University of Mumbai. 50% seats are especially reserved for students from catholic minority. Rest of the seats is available for general and other backward class students. SC/other backward class students will be eligible for seats reserved as per the Maharashtra Government directives.

For courses — BMM/BMS

The admission for BMS and BMM are done on the basis of entrance exam, qualifying exam and interview. At the time of admission, 60% weightage is given to entrance exam, 20% weightage is given to qualifying exam, and 20% weightage is given to interview. The applications for admission of BMS and BMM can be downloaded from the official website of the college. A fee of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST) is payable by candidates for online application. The online application shall be filled in line with the instructions provided. The online Admit Card is issued by the college and a print out of which should be needed for the examination. The admit card is to be attested by any gazetted officer or school, college principal and should bear the passport size photo of the candidate. The results of the examination will be published in the official website of the college.

Shortlisted candidates from entrance test can appear for the interview. The final selection is based on the overall performance of the student which includes marks obtained in qualifying exam, entrance exam, and interview. The admissions are purely based on the merits which are judged by particular category rank. The selected candidates need to pay the course fee as prescribed by the college.
