The college holds the pride of being the oldest and largest colleges located in the northern side of the Mandovi River of the state of Goa along the west coast of the nation. The college came into existence in the year 1963, soon after the end of the rule of Portuguese in Goa and when a new administration took charge of the higher education in the region.
