Ministry of Finance was established under the Government of India. The ministry actually concerns to the taxation, financial institutions, state finances etc including the Union Budget. Pranad Mukherjee is the current Minister of Finance. The minsitry is comprises of five different departments which includes Department of Economics Affairs, Department of Expenditure, Financial Services, Department of Reveue and Department of Disinvestments. Department of Disinvestment was set up in the month of May, 2004.

Job Profile:

Ministry of Finance is recruiting Graduate or Matrix passed candidates for filling up the positions of Accountant and Lower Division Clerk. All interested candidates are requested to check their eligibility for the desired post in advance, so that their applications does not get cancelled.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have age less than the prescribed maximum age limit set for the post fo Accountant and Lower Division Clerk in Ministry of Finance. Interested candidates should also not have age less than the prescribed minimum age limit set for the post. There is no information available regarding the relaxation in upper age limit set for the reserved categories candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Accountant: Candidates should be holding analogous post on regular basis or should have worked as LDC in the Grade Pay of Rs. 1900 with atleast 5 years of experience in service. Knowledge of computers is essential or desirable for the post.

Lower Division Clerk: Candidates should be holding analogous post on regular basis with atleast 2 years of experience. Candidates should have proficiency in typing with a speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. Knowledge of computers is desirable.

Accountant: Only 18 posts are available.
Lower Division Clerk: Only 5 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Accountant: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.
Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected on the desired post only on the basis of their performance in the personal interview test. A selection committee will take the personal interview test of each and every candidates on a specified date.
