Acharya Tulsi National Commerce College is shortly called as ATNCC and this college was established by the National Education Society in the year 1966. The college is offering education at the UG level in management and commerce subjects with affiliation from the Kuvempu University located in Shimoga.

Courses offered:

Acharya Tulsi National Commerce College offers the following UG courses and the duration of both these courses is three years spread over six semsters:

• Bachelor of Commerce

• Bachelor of Business Management

Both these courses are offered in English medium alone and if the college receives application from Kannada Medium from eligible candidates, who are more than 60 in number, then a separate Kannada Medium class will also be offered by the college.

Eligibility for admission:

B. Com:

Candidates, who have completed their Pre-University Examination from the Karnataka Pre-University Board or any other equivalent examination as approved by Kuvempu University are eligible to seek admission to the Bachelor of Commerce course. Candidates who have completed their three-year diploma course in secretarial or commercial practice conducted by the Technical Education Department of Government of Karnataka can apply directly to the second year of the B. Com course offered by ATNCC. Candidates who have completed their two-year diploma in business administration course can get direct admission to the third year of the B. Com course; however, candidates should clear the language papers of the first two years of B. Com course.

BBM:

Candidates, who have completed their job-oriented course from the Karnataka Technical Education Board are eligible to seek admission to the first year of the B. Com/BBM course if they have studied material management technology, salesmanship & marketing/co-operation/office management/banking/taxation & accountancy/costing & accounting/auditing & accountancy as one of the optional subjects.

Certificate courses:

In addition to the above-mentioned two main courses, the college also offers certificate course in subjects like basic computerized accounting, internet web designing & programming in VB, office management & company secretaryship and spoken English.

Acharya Tulsi National Commerce College offers several amenities like library & information centre, NSS, NCC, ladies hostel & multi-gym, computer and networking lab, management club, co-operative society, sports & games and cultural activities.

Library & information centre:

The library of the college is functioning in a separate building and it has different sections for reference and reading. The library is fully computerized with e-lib software. The college has a collection of more than 32000 books on literature, language, business management and commerce and several other general reference books as well.
