Bi Bi Raza Degree College for Women shortly called as BBRDC, came into existence in the year 1977 on the 30th of July. Actually, the college came into existence in the year 1975 as a pre-university college with approval from the Karnatak University located in Dharwad. The college was established for the purpose of meeting the long felt need for a higher education institution for women in the area of Gulbarga. The college has produced many university-rank holders each academic year.

Courses offered:

Bi Bi Raza Degree College for Women offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science courses. These courses are divided into three parts where in part one includes English as compulsory subjects and the candidates will have to choose any of languages like Kannada, Hindi, Arabic and Urdu as second language. Part two includes optional subjects and the optional subjects for arts and science courses are given below:

Part three includes Indian Constitution and subjects selected by students in the first semester will continue for the second semester as well under part one and two.

Admission Rules:

Bi Bi Raza Degree College admits students to the Bachelor of Art and science courses and for getting admission to these courses, candidates must have completed their PUC 2nd year or equivalent examination from an approved university/board.

How to apply:

To apply to the college, women candidates should obtain the application form from the office of the college and when submitting the filled in application form, it should be accompanied by:

• Passport size photo

• Original certificates of qualifying examination with five copies of TC and mark sheet

• Caste certificate for reserved category candidates

• Admission of candidates to the courses are provisional based on the approval by affiliating university

• Students who have completed their PUC/10+2 from other states will have to submit migration certificate

Facilities:

BBRDC offers several facilities like library, National Service Scheme, sports, student counseling classes and scholarships for meritorious poor students so as to encourage them to perform well in the future examinations as well.
