All India Postgraduate Dental entrance Test is a yearly examination conducted for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery. The admission is done for Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College & Hospital, Pune.

Structure of AIPGDET

The duration of the All India Postgraduate Dental Entrance test will be two hours. Multiple choice questions with four answer options are there in this examination. One mark will be awarded for each right answer. No negative marking is there in All India Postgraduate Dental Entrance Test. Questions will be mainly from the B.D.S stream. The medium of the examination is in English.

Eligibility Criteria for AIPGDET

Candidates who have passed a bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery from a reputed University are eligible to appear for AIPGDET. They should have a registration in Dental Council of India, New Delhi or Maharashtra State Dental Council after completion of one year internship. Candidates’ undergoing one year rotating Internship training and likely to obtain final Registration certificate from Dental Council of India, New Delhi or Maharshtra on or before the examination can also appear for this entrance test. It is necessary for the aspirants to submit a certification about the rotating internship trainings’ date of completion. This certificate should be attested by the head of the institution.

How to Apply for AIPGDET?

Online application can be downloaded directly from the website: www.dypatil.ac.in for All India Postgraduate Dental Entrance Test. Candidates must follow the instructions given in the website. After submitting the online application, a system generated transaction ID is emailed to the candidates email ID. A demand draft of Rs.2000/- should be send in favour of Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University payable at Navi Mumbai. The candidate should note their name, address and the system generated transaction ID on the back side of the Demand Draft.

How to fill the application form of AIPGDET?

Form filling instructions will be provided in the website: www.dypatil.ac.in . Candidates should fill all the relevant details in the application form. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Read carefully the instructions given in the website before filling the application form.

Important Dates of AIPGDET

Online application form will be submitted on the month of December, 2011/2012

Examination will be conducted mainly on first week of January, 2012

Declaration of results will be on the month of March, 2012

Cutoff Marks for AIPGDET

Cutoff marks will vary from year to year.  It totally depends upon the overall performance of the students and also on the number of available seats and students participated in the exam. One should have minimum 60% in the entrance exam for getting admission.

Score Validity

The score validity of All India Postgraduate Dental Entrance Test is only for one year.
