Andhra University is the one of the oldest Universities in India. The university offers many undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctorate course in various streams. The institute conducts entrance exam for M.Sc Biochemistry course.

Structure of Andhra University M.Sc. Biochemistry Entrance Test

The pattern of the entrance test will be objective type questions. The total number of questions will be 90. There will be three parts in the exam paper. The part A will contain 40 questions of 40 marks, part B will contain 30 questions of 30 marks, and part C will contain 20 questions of 20 marks. The duration of the test will be 75 minutes. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. For each wrong answer ¼ marks will be deducted. The test booklet will contain questions in both English and Telugu.

• Radio isotopes and their use in Biochemistry

• Classification chemistry and physico – chemical properties of amino acids, proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, porphyrins, PH and Buffers, Bio-membranes – composition and organization
• Principles of enzymology
• Classification of enzymes, nomenclature
• Enzyme assays, enzyme units, and enzyme inhibition

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have completed B.Sc./B.Sc. (Vocational) Chemistry/ Biochemistry and B.Sc (Vocational) with Food Science & Quality Control from any recognized University are eligible to apply for M.Sc Biochemistry entrance exam. The candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply for M.Sc Biochemistry entrance exam.

How to Apply?

The candidate can obtain the application form from various concerned sale centers. The cost of the application form is Rs.300/-. The candidate can also obtain the application form through post. The candidates should send a request letter along with a demand draft of Rs.350/- in favour of The Director, AUCET, Directorate of Admissions payable at Visakhapatnam. The completed application forms should be sent to the Director, AUCET, Directorate of Admissions, Visakhapatnam. The candidate should send the application from in a cover on which they should mention the test number, test name and test center. The candidate should send the application form through registered post or in person before the last date of the submission.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should fill in the application form carefully without any errors. The candidate should provide the name and date of birth as in the higher secondary school certificate. The candidate should fill in the form personally. The applicant should provide the signature in the space provided.
