Master of Arts in translation studies provides a student to get a job as an interpreter in any country. The world is going very fast and globalization is taking people to know each other, in translation of civilization, studies of this subject helps to know the past.

Paper Pattern:

There are 13 questions in the paper which is divided into 2 sections; Section A is of 8 short answer type questions from which 5 are to be attempted, each question is of equal marks in this section whereas Section B is of 5 very long answer type questions from which 3 are to be solved, each question in this section is of equal marks. The paper is of a pure theoretical type and needed to be answered in a proper way.

The paper contains questions such as definition of Lexicography, Tytler, Homosapiens, Hebrew language, Christianity development, long answer type question on machine translation and its development, description of key properties of a language, essay on words and thoughts, essay on Bible translation & its effects on global context, development in 19th century etc. The paper is a pure theoretical paper and do not has any sub-questions in it. All questions are to be answered according to the question.

Total marks and time allotted:

A maximum of 100 marks can be obtained in this paper and candidate will get maximum 3 hours for solving the paper. Section A is of 40 marks and Section B is of 60 marks. Each question in 1st section is of 8 marks and each question in 2nd section is of 20 marks each.
