Annamalai University M.A. Police Administration: Jail Administration Papers


Annamalai University is situated in Annamalainagar, near the famous town of Chidambaram. The university has one of the largest residential campuses in our country. It offers a full range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The courses are also offered in the distant learning mode. Among the various PG courses offered by Annamalai University one is M.A. in Police Administration. This is a two year course. In the second year of the course there is a paper on Jail Administration. As the name suggests this paper is vital for a student studying police administration. The pattern of the exam of this paper is discussed below.

The paper of Jail Administration is of three hours duration and it carries a maximum of 100 marks. The paper has two sections. The first section consists of eight questions. Students have to answer any five in about 300 words each. Each question carries eight marks.

The second section consists of five questions with a choice of answering any three. Each question has to be answered in about 1200 words and carries twenty marks.

To score good marks in the paper the answers should be precise and to the point. The paper is set so that it covers the entire syllabus.
