Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar which is located in Kokrajhar District in Assam, came into existence from 19th December 2006. The primary aims of this institute are to fulfill the cultural, educational, communication and economic progress aspirations of the people and to provide technological and vocational training to the students. CIT offers Technical and Vocational Education in Bio-Technology, Information Technology, Food Processing, Rural Industries, Business Management, etc. CIT offers Diploma courses in Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Food Processing Technology (FPT) and Control and Instrumentation (CAI). In 2009, it started diploma courses in Construction Technology, and Animation & Multimedia. The mission of CIT is to establish a world class Institute for education, technology, vocational and career training, and to develop skills through innovative teaching techniques and learning technologies like e-business and e-learning.
