Birla Institute of Management & Technology is one of the important parts of India’s leading group of institutions which are popularly known as Birla Academy of Art and Culture which has its centers in different corners of the country. The institute was established in the year 1988 with One Year (Part Time) Post Graduate Program, and another Three Year (Part Time) Program in Management. The institute then started a Two Year (Full Time) Management Program in 1993 for the students interested in full time degree course.
Infrastructure:
The institute provides an eco friendly environment and has outstanding campus features. It has well equipped computer labs which consist of 15 Pentium nodes connected with a Compaq server running on WINDOWS -NT 4.0., up to date library and well furnished class rooms. The institute also provides residential facility to its students. It also has Internet facility, multimedia and business application software to assist students in order to give par knowledge.

The Institute offers various postgraduate courses to the candidates in Business Management, International Business, Insurance and Risk Management, Retailing & Merchandising Management and Entrepreneurship & Family Business.
Admission Procedure:
The candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in any of the streams from any of the recognized universities of India. Candidates have to collect a prospectus and application form from the campus office. The applicants have to qualify an entrance exam conducted by the institute. The qualified candidates have to face a Group Discussion and Viva-Voce which are conducted to judge their performance.
