B.Tech in Food Technology and Bio-chemical Science
B.Tech in Food Technology and Biochemical Science is one of the most demanding courses among the students of India as well as in various gulf countries. The course deals with the study of processing and various preservation procedures of food products.
Students acquire knowledge on food chemistry, micro biology, cell chemistry, food and nutrition chemistry, food safety, ethics and quality of food materials, animal products processing, chemistry of food products, process of pasteurization, food product development, heat and mass transfer, food fermentation, genetically modification of foods, preservation integration and cold chain.
Eligibility:
The candidates applying for the course of B.Tech in Food Technology and Biochemical Science should hold a pass certificate of 10 and 10+2 form any recognized University or board of the country. The candidates must qualify the state joint entrance exams (JEE) or may even enter the course through All India Joint Entrance Exam (AIJEE). The minimum percentage of marks to sit in these exams is 50%. Candidates can also join after completion of their diploma courses.
Course outlook:
B.Tech in Food Technology and Biochemical Science is a course having a span of 4 years, which includes two semesters per year, i.e. a total of eight exams in the span of the course. The students carrying on with the course should re-register their names after each semester in the same University.

The students after completion of this course can get high profile jobs with handsome salary in private firms as well as in government sectors. They can work as many food production workshops with fair salaries.
