hi,
If you are B.Tech student student ,i aspect from you that you know about the syllabus of GATE exam. There is no main subject for GATE exam.in GATE exam we face all type of question related to our subject which we read in engineering.it GATE exam we face question from c,c++,java ,DAA,CN,maths and other question. I advise you that In GATE exam you choose sujects from syllabus according to your entrest and in which you feel comfert.you should choose some subject and study them deeply. Any subject you choose study them deeply any question from these subject cant wrong. |

there is no main subject in GATE .it is totally depends on from which stream you are doing your engineering.there are many subjects

your question is not perfect... you did not mentioned the branch which you're pursuing.. for each and every branch there will be seperate syllabus in GATE.. as i'm from electronics stream i'll discuss about it.. syllabus of ECE. There are total 9 sections in the GATE ECE 1. Engineering Mathematics 2. Network Analysis 3. Electronic Devices and Circuits 4. Analog Circuits 5. Digital Circuits 6. Signals and Systems 7.
