Campus Placement Procedure for CSC

Computer Sciences Corporation or CSC is a reputed IT services company that commenced its operations in 1991. The company usually considers B.Tech/MCA holders with a consistent score of 60% marks for recruitment.  Selection of eligible candidates will be done on the basis of Aptitude Test, Technical Test, Group Discussion and Technical/HR Interview.

Eligibility Criterion for Campus Placement in CSC
Fresh engineers are usually considered for on campus or off campus selections in CSC. Such candidates must have completed their bachelor of engineering degree from a recognized University in any of the following subjects.
  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
MCA holders are also eligible to participate in the campus recruitment process. Minimum percentage of marks required in class X, class XII and in the qualifying exam are 60. Eligible candidates participating in the selection process must be free of backlog papers. These requirements are applicable for final year students also.
Procedure for Campus Placement in CSC
Selection of eligible candidates is done through the following stages.
  • Aptitude Test
  • Technical Test
  • Group Discussion
  • Technical/HR Interview
First section in the recruitment process is the written aptitude test. The section comprises 40 questions that need to be answered with in 40 minutes time duration. Questions will be asked mainly from topics like blood relation, time and distance, conditions and assumptions and logical reasoning.
Only those who clear the aptitude test can attempt the second section, technical test. There will be 70 questions for the section that need to be answered within 75 minutes. Programming languages, Operating Systems, Data Base Management Systems, Microprocessor, etc are the main topics from where the questions will be asked for the section.
Candidates having cleared the written test will be short listed for group discussion session. Topic for GD will be simple and is conducted for testing the communication skill of the candidate.
Final round for selection is HR/Technical interview. Technical interview will be from the topics studied under B.Tech/MCA program. Other than technical questions, one can expect questions personnel questions as well. Family details, hobbies of the candidate, college of study, etc will be some of the questions asked for this section.
Candidates having qualified the selection procedure can join the company as trainee. Such candidates will be provided with training on various technologies under the guidance of project heads and subject matter experts. Successful completion of training facilitates them to join the company as permanent staff.

    Why CSC do not allow Electronics and instrumentation branch students in the campus, although they can do equally well as Electronics and communication students?
